SIERRA <br /> Substance Cleanup Bond Act of 1984 were all reviewed to identify other potential sources near <br /> the site.'-'-' The California State Water Resources Control Board Report on Releases of <br /> Hazardous Substances from Underground Storage Tanks and Toxic Pits Cleanup Act were also <br /> reviewed. The City of Manteca and the San Joaquin County Department of Health Services were <br /> contacted for information regarding the locations of polluted wells listed in AB-1803 1989 Annual <br /> Report. <br /> The following sites were identified in the research and information on them was obtained <br /> from the RWQCB - Central Valley Region, except where noted. <br /> Manteca Equipment Rental located at 616 South Main Street is approximately 1/4 mile <br /> north of the proposed Chevron site. On December 18, 1990, during removal of a 500-gallon <br /> gasoline tank, hydrocarbon-bearing soil was observed in the excavation area. The date of the <br /> unauthorized release is unknown and further site assessment is pending for the site. No further <br /> information was available for this site. <br /> House of Redwood, located at 1199 Vanderbilt Circle, is approximately 1/2 mile east of the <br /> proposed Chevron site. An unauthorized petroleum release report was filed for the site on March <br /> 29, 1988. The petroleum release was discovered during removal of two tanks, a 5,000-gallon <br /> unleaded fuel tank and a 10,000-gallon diesel fuel tank. The volume and dates of the releases <br /> were unknown and further site assessment is planned. No additional information was on file for <br /> this site. <br /> Mountain Valley Express,located at 1299 Vanderbilt Circle,is approximately 3/4 mile east <br /> of the proposed Chevron site. On May 9, 1988, the 150-gallon waste oil tank failed a precision <br /> test.
