However, <br /> because the source of the high levels of benzene contamination has not yet <br /> been identified, we request that an interim report be prepared as soon as the <br /> analytical results for the first round of sampling the new monitoring wells <br /> are available. The analytical results for the second round of sampling may be <br /> submitted in an addendum report which should include conclusions and any <br /> recommendations for additional investigation. The proposal did not include a <br /> proposed timetable for completing this investigation. However, we believe the <br /> investigation could be completed, and a Problem Assessment Report submitted by <br /> 2 March 1989. <br /> Please proceed with the investigation and submit the results of Phase I (the <br /> Hydro-Punch investigation) with proposed monitoring well locations by <br /> 31 January 1990. <br /> If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731 . <br /> THOMAS D.
