December 22, 1994
.- 92-1177103.80
NORCAL Waste Systems, Inc.
Attention: Mr. Larry Sweetser, Director of Regulatory Affairs
Subject: REPORT - Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring - November 1994
Stockton Scavenger Association Facility
1240 Navy Drive
Stockton, California
Page 3
Groundwater Sampling
After water level measurements were recorded, the four monitoring wells were purged and
sampled. A minimum of three well casing volumes was purged from each well. Three wells
(MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4) were purged using a submersible pump. Monitoring well MW-2 was
purged using a dedicated bladder pump. Field water quality parameters (pH, temperature, and
specific conductance) were measured for each casing volume of water removed from the well.
An additional casing volume of groundwater was purged after sampling in accordance with
California Code of Regulations Chapter 15 post-purging requirements. Groundwater samples
were collected using disposable Teflon bailers at wells MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4 and collected
directly from the dedicated bladder pump in well MW-2. Purged groundwater was pumped into
a Baker tank for temporary storage prior to being treated by the on-site groundwater treatment
system. Copies of the purging/sampling forms are attached.
Laboratory _Anal
The samples were submitted under Chain-of-Custody protocol to McCampbell Analytical,
Inc. (McCampbell), of Pacheco, California. McCampbelI is certified by the state of California
to perform the required analyses.
