December 22, 1994
92-1177103.80
NORCAL Waste Systems, Inc.
Attention: Mr. Larry Sweetser, Director of Regulatory Affairs
Subject: REPORT - Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring - November 1994
Stockton Scavenger Association Facility
1240 Navy Drive
Stockton, California
Page 5
the July monitoring period which showed the direction of groundwater flow was towards the
east. There have been frequent changes in the groundwater flow pattern over the last six years.
This recent shift in the direction of the groundwater flow appears to be consistent with previous
trends. MARK reviewed past monitoring records to evaluate discernable patterns. The results
of the evaluation are listed below:
• Prior to the early months of 1990, groundwater appeared to flow towards the west
and the southwest;
■ During 1990, groundwater flowed towards the east, then reversed its direction and
by the end of 1990 flowed towards the west;
■ There are no available records for 1991;
■ In the early months of 1992, groundwater flowed toward the eastern direction, this
pattern continued through the third quarter of 1994; and
■ Currently the direction of groundwater flow is toward the southwest.
