Remove the inner gloves and respirator when in the Support Zone. <br /> 12.0 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN <br /> Emergency procedures listed in this plan are designed to give the field team <br /> instruction in handling medical emergencies, fires and explosions during <br /> excavation activities. <br /> 12.1 Injuries <br /> Medical problems occurring on-site will be handled quickly. Emergency <br /> telephone numbers will be written down and posted in the passenger <br /> compartment of the Youngdahl & Associates, Inc. field vehicle or the drilling rig. <br /> The local emergency numbers are: <br /> Fire Department 944-8801 <br /> Police Department 911 <br /> St. Joseph's Hospital 943-2000 Emergency - EMT <br /> Office of Emergency Services 468-3969 <br /> Environmental Health 265-1449 Tracy Gidel <br /> The field team will be instructed to seek immediate professional medical <br /> attention for all serious injuries. A first aid kit will be present at the drilling site <br /> for use in case of minor injuries. <br /> 12.2 Fire <br /> The Safety Officer will have available a 20 BC multi-purpose fire extinguisher <br /> on hand at all times. The local fire department will be notified by the Safety <br /> Officer of the location and anticipated activities in order to minimize the fire <br /> risk to the community. In addition, any flammable brush and grass will be <br /> cleared away from the excavation site prior to the initiation of sampling <br /> activities. <br />
