Based
on correspondence,Equiva is evaluating the most cost effective means of discharging the treated
groundwater. Toxichem began the cost analysis in June, but Equiva has not provided the Board with the
selected alternative to restart the groundwater remediation system.
By 28 November 2001,please submit a technical report detailing how Equiva will restart the groundwater
extraction and treatment system and meet effluent discharge limits, including an implementation schedule.
We will proceed with a Notice of Applicability for the General Order for Discharge to Surface Waters of
Groundwater Cleanup of Petroleum Fuel Pollution.
