The document is dated September 15, 2006, and was received by the
Regional Water Board via email on September 15, 2006. Your environmental consultant, LFR
Inc., of Emeryville prepared the plan on your behalf.
The purpose of this WP is to propose additional MIP investigation borings north of the
historical source area beneath Benjamin Holt Drive. These borings will assess the need for
additional air/ozone sparging wells in this area. The work will be conducted concurrently with
the implementation of the Phase IV Interim Remedial Action Detailed Plan, dated June 8,
2006.
The Regional Water Board staff concurs with the proposed additional MIP borings, as
submitted We look forward to having improved characterization of the extent of the historical
source area plume, and to improved refinement of the sparge well design layout.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Marie McCrink at 916-464-4816, or by
email at mtmccrink(cDwaterboards.ca.gov.
A d";i
Marie McCrink, P.G., C.H.
Private Sites Cleanup Unit
California Environmental Protection Agency
Qd Recycled Paper
