Lori Duncan [EH]
From: Ken Doty[kdoty@markthomas.com]
Sent: Friday, October 29, 2004 5:32 PM
To: Flatley, Martin Pat; Adrienne Ellsaesser[EH]; Lori Duncan [EH]
Cc: Simon, Jim; Deml, Rick; Esenwein, Colt; matt_o@sbcglobal.net; Tim Fleming; Rob Himes;
abrucker@co.san-joaquin.ca.us
Subject: RE: Water well siting @ Weinerschnitzel
Adrienne, Lori, and Pat
I just want to clarify a couple points. In the telephone call on
October 28th with Pat we were discussing the ARCO site. I had said
there have been several meetings with the BP attorneys and
representatives and Caltrans attorneys discussing compensation for
damages and access. The BP representatives are fully aware of the
project and were even approached 2-3 years ago. BP has copies of the
plans that affect their site and Stan Iverson of Tait & Associates, the
engineer for BP, has electronic copies as well. SJCEHD was a part of
this so they don't have any of the plans.
The wells on both the ARCO and Weinerschnitzel sites were not going to
be affected by this project so SJCEHD was not approached about these
wells. Driveway #19 was going to come close to the well but not make it
necessary to be moved.
Overall, it is true though that the County has been involved with the
project throughout and has plans of the project. Adam Brucker, in the '
planning department has been our contact since Mike McDowell left and
has a set.
Lori, I did receive your voice mail today. If you need plans and Adam
can't provide them for you I can send you some plans. Since there are
over 1000 sheets in the plans, rather then send the whole set I will
give you the sheets which show what is happening at the two properties.
Kenneth E. Following is a summary of my review of the site and the
current highway project construction details associated with the areas
of the wells. It must be noted that during a telecon on October 28th
with Ken Doty of Mark Thomas, the designer of the project, he said that
representatives of both BP and the SJCEHD were attendants at meetings on
this and other subjects and both entities do have copies of this
1
