For metals determined by ICP analy- <br /> sis, for example, the spike contains all the analyte metals at levels <br /> approximately five times the reporting limit. Following the addition <br /> of the spike to the matrix spike and matrix spike duplicate, these two <br /> QA samples are carried through all laboratory procedures and analyzed <br /> as are the soil samples taken for the investigation. The laboratory will <br /> prepare one matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate per 20 soil samples or <br /> every 30 days, which ever occurs first. <br /> 4-5 <br />
