r
E
ARCAUIS Ms. Lori Duncan
October 8, 2008
• Approximately ten times the volume of standing water was purged from the
existing monitoring well and newly installed monitoring wells;field parameters
were recorded on a well-volume basis
• After the purge cycle was complete, a groundwater sample was collected for
analysis with a decontaminated '/2-gallon stainless steel bailer and transferred to
the appropriate laboratory-supplied sample containers prefilled with preservative.
Groundwater monitoring and sampling field data sheets for the existing and newly
installed monitoring wells is presented in Attachment 6. Purge water and equipment
decontamination water generated during the sampling event was containerized for
offsite disposal.
Groundwater Analytical Data
Following well development, groundwater samples were collected from monitoring
wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4 and MW-5. Subsequent to collection, samples
were packed on ice, cooled to approximately 4° centigrade, and shipped, under
appropriate chain-of-custody protocols, to Lancaster for analysis. Analyses for all
groundwater samples included the following parameters:
• TPH-GRO (C6-C12), TPH-DRO (C10-C28), TPH-MO (C16-C36), methanol, and
ethanol by USEPA Method 8015
L • BTEX by USEPA Method 8260B
• TBA, MTBE, ETBE, TAME, DIPE, 1,2-DCA, and EDB by USEPA Method 8260B.
Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) samples inclusive of trip blanks were
submitted for laboratory analysis. A laboratory supplied trip blank accompanied each
sample delivery group. QA/QC samples were analyzed for TPH-GRO, BTEX, TBA,
MTBE, ETBE, TAME, DIPE, 1,2-DCA, EDB, methanol, and ethanol for all laboratory
submissions. Analytical results for the groundwater samples collected by ARCADIS
are included in Attachment 7.
Surveying
On July 14, 2008 Muir Consulting, Incorporated (Muir) surveyed top of casing and
rground surface elevations at the newly installed and existing monitoring wells
Page:
C ,lam cisosWflcedatalSacmmento-CA\EMACHEVRONM907a606—bles1RepoftkAs essment1 M75AssessmentRepod_181810950doc 6/10
