r-
3978 S. Hwy 99, Stockton
Page 2
operated at the site since 1973. -SJC/EHD requires as the current property owner, you
obtain copies of your property assessment records from the SJC/AO which could
confirm improvements made or operations conducted at the site from 1974 to the time
you bought the property and began operation of the current onsite business. This
information is to be submitted to SJC/EHD by October18;,2007. SJC/EHD will use
the information to support the identification of Chevron.as a responsible party because
the contamination is a result of a release from the UST's that Texaco operated.
SJC/EHD also directs resumption of quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling of
the onsite monitoring well (MW-1). Monitoring and sampling of MW-1 has been
completed twice. At the first event 1,2-DCA was reported as non-detect; at the second
event it was reported present at 970 micrograms per liter. The presence and/or
concentration of contaminants at this site must be confirmed by routine analysis.
SJC/EHD will continue to provide written directives for further investigation of this site to
both Chevron and you. If you have any questions please contact Lori Duncan at (209)
.468-0337.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior RENS Margaret tagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Program Coordinator Unit IV
cc: James Barton, CVRWQCB
Art Deicke, AGE
