UPGRADIENI ENVIR <br /> L <br /> January 1999--UEC submits requested cost pre-approval form <br /> February 1999--UST Fund pre-approves work plan cost to install one well to 60 feet and <br /> one boring to 120 feet <br /> Much 1999--Work plan submitted to EHD and approved <br /> March 1999--Shallow well and deep boring completed; report recommends that <br /> monitoring continue, an aquifer test of the shallow(contaminated)aquifer be performed, <br /> and the feasibility of using above-ground bioremediation and activated carbon to treat the <br /> contaminated water should be tested. <br /> August 1999--UEC submits work plan to perform aquifer pumping test <br /> October 1999--EHD requests addendum to work plan for aquifer test,requesting <br /> additional details and examples from other UEC sites <br /> October 1999--UEC submits requested addendum <br /> November 1999--UEC informs EHD that static water level has fallen below base of <br /> shallow aquifer,precluding pumping test until 2000 <br /> Late 1999--EHD requests further revisions of pumping test work plan to include pre-test <br /> groundwater modeling[sing Mod-flow computer program <br /> April 2000--UEC submits results of computer modeling in revised pumping test work <br /> plan and recommends performing pumping test before water level drops <br /> May 2000--Static water level again drops to base of shallow aquifer,precluding pumping <br /> test until 2001 <br /> Mid-2001—Dorothy Lofstrom,R.G., assigned by EHD to act as"person in responsible <br /> charge"for this site, in accordance with California Department of Consumer <br /> Affairs/Board of Geology requirements <br /> June 2001—EHD submits comment letter regarding pumping test work plan,but requests <br /> UEC to demonstrate the results of the Mod-flow modeling before granting approval <br /> June 2001—EHD reverses previous stance and approves revised pumping test work plan <br /> without requiring Mod-flow demonstration <br /> August 2001—EHD calls meeting with Gillies Trucking,UEC, and Regional Water <br /> Board to discuss status of site. EHD requests further assessment(5 additional wells), <br /> replacement of the Gillies domestic well,and the pumping test <br />
