• <br />E <br />On April 18, 1990, this office received written certification by Steve Mathias, <br />indicating all violations noted on the R.O.V. had been corrected. <br />On January 7, 1992, a routine hazardous waste generator inspection was <br />conducted by Eric Trevena, R.E.H.S., PHS-EHD, Pam Violett, R.E.H.S., PHS- <br />EHD, and Steve Karp, Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Interlake, Inc. <br />During the inspection, violations of the hazardous waste statutes and/or <br />regulations were identified as follows: <br />1 Section 66262.34 (f), Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: At the time of inspection, <br />eight (8) drums of methylethyl ketone (MEK) sludge did not have labels. <br />2. Section 66262.34 (f), Division 4.5 , Title 22, CCR: At the time of <br />inspection, an aboveground tank containing waste oil was not labeled as <br />"Hazardous Waste". <br />3. Section 67262.34 (f), Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: A five gallon bucket <br />containing MEK did not have a label. <br />4. Section 67262.34 (f), Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: A 55 gallon drum <br />containing an oily waste in the "roll form" area did not have a label. <br />5. Section 66265.173, Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: A 5 gallon bucket <br />containing MEK sludge did not have a lid. <br />6. Section 66265.173, Division 4.5, Title 22 CCR: A 55 gallon drum <br />containing an oily water waste in the "roll form" area did not have a lid. <br />7. Section 66265.54, Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: At the time of inspection, <br />the contingency plan did not reflect personnel change for the emergency <br />coordinator. <br />8. Section 66268.7 (a) (6), Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: A land disposal <br />notification form could not be found for manifest #88456353. <br />9. Section 66265.16, Division 4.5, Title 22, CCR: Employee training in <br />hazardous waste management procedures was inadequate. <br />On May 3, 1993, The Inspection Report and R.O.V. were placed in the premise <br />file. <br />3 <br />
