EUMINATE SOURCES OF IGNITION <br />Some chemicals such as Pentane, Diesel Fuel & Isopropyl Alcohol have • <br />flash <br />•• these materials are flammable and could •- easily ignited. <br />Suffuric Acid - generates flammable hydrogen gas when it contacts <br />various metals. Whenever a spill occurs, all sources of ignition must be <br />eliminated: • heaters, forklifts, matches, and • <br />SECURE THE AREA <br />Take measures to block • and prevent anyone • entering the • area. This <br />will prevent <br />other workers from being exposed to the spill hazards and will prevent the <br />possible entrance of ignition sources to the area. <br />e.
