.. , rill <br /> w Tri-Valley Growers November 9, 1987 <br /> Project No. 1582G Page 2-1 <br /> SECTION 2.0 <br /> ' PREVIQUS WORK <br /> According to information provided to Exceltech by Tri-Valley Growers, <br /> ;.; (Tri-Valley Growers letter to Exceltech dated March 18, 1987) previous work <br /> at the Plant T facility consisted of 1) excavating and removing four. <br /> runderground storage tanks adjacent to the forklift shop_ (Figure 2) in late <br /> January and 'early February, 1987, 2) excavating soil around two anter <br /> oma <br /> underground storage tanks on-site (one gasoline and one diesel) 3) :sampling <br /> soil and groundwater from the excavation pits subsequent to tank .removal on <br /> February 4, 1987. During excavation, gasoline odors were detected from the <br /> two pits located near the forklift shop. No odors were detected from the <br /> excavation pits at the other two underground tanks on-site. <br /> ,Y <br /> Tables 1 and 2 show the soil and water analytical results from the <br /> previously collected samples.= This data provided to Exceltech by Tri-Valley <br /> Growers indicated local petroleum hydrocarbon contamination near the tanks <br /> adjacent to the forklift shop. The other underground tanks (one gasoline and <br /> one diesel) located elsewhere on-site did not appeared to have leaked. As a <br /> result, the SJLHD did not require monitoring wells to be located adjacent to <br /> them. Appendix C contains copies of the analytical laboratory reports for <br /> samples collected during the excavations. <br /> of <br />
