PIT SITE INVESTIGATION PLAN <br /> This operative plan is submitted by T & T Earth Services a <br /> partnership between -Hunt Drilling Inc . and TKS Consulting Ltd . <br /> The following I % a ' phased approach to a site investigation <br /> at the Les Calkins �T•rucking Yard at 19501 N. H!Y,,,99 in Acampo , <br /> California. The site is being investiga-ted" as a tresult of <br /> unauthorized attompt's et.�b�ged3air�r���of leakage on overfill <br /> contamination of dl4sel from two 10000 gallon tanks at the site. <br /> The tanks have beeri removed from the site and the pit shows <br /> visible hydrocarbori stains on the floor .'and side walls.. <br /> Additionally there ia -.aiiaf" spiills on the site, from the pit , <br /> which have also had unauthorized inbculatian4 of bacteria for <br /> remedietign. �` <br /> Pi ince I P-ITEHACKOROUND <br /> Complete historic study of the site a.nd adjacent parcels to <br /> include past ownership and uses, County -,underground tank permits <br /> and motor fuel use levels . y: <br /> This phase will also include a qualitative look at the <br /> ground water development in the immediate �areaa . This will <br /> encompass qualitative sampling- of-t-hVi "three wells on the site, <br /> ground water gradient .r-est-mations from ex,isti6g studies and <br /> comparisons of water L'evel`s from existing nearby wd4,ls and well <br /> logs if available. <br /> P!LASE I I Sa I L AND SPOILS--SAMPLING <br /> r <br /> Completion of 4 soil borings at the tank pit . One boring <br /> will be made at the ; up gradient end of the tank pit (pr66"ably <br /> near the tank fill at the south end ) . 2 borings at the dawn <br /> gradient corners of tke pit and one soil boring in the middle oNf <br /> the tank pit . Sampling will be done with a I .R . A-200 hollow stem\, <br /> auger drill using an ; auger and a split spoon sampler . Samples <br /> will be taken in native material 2 feet below the tank pit �. <br /> bottom. AU cuttings will be screened with a Century 128-GC OVA, <br /> (FID) , and containerized in DOT 55 gallon drums . <br /> In addition 3 spoils pile samples will be taken. These will <br /> be taken from 3 feet' into the spoils pile at even spacing around <br /> the pit . <br /> All sampling will be done according to L.U.F.T . guidelines. <br /> Samples will be analyzed by a CAL EPA certified lab tChemwOst . in <br /> Sacramento ) for TPH-D (modified 8015 method ) . <br />
