5. During all work, the Supervisor shall periodically insure that the hazardous <br /> material handlers, laborers, and equipment operators are working according to generally <br /> accepted safe practices and that the integrity of the PPE is maintained according to federal <br /> and local laws and regulations. <br /> 6. It is not anticipated that there will be any heat extremes sufficient enough <br /> to effect this safety program or the risks provided for herein. Should such heat extremes <br /> or other aggravating conditions occur, then Supervisor shall institute and follow the Heat <br /> Stress Plan attached hereto as Exhibit "D". <br /> B. First id. <br /> 1. The Owner/Operatoror Supervisor shall provide a first aid kit at the job Site <br /> including an eye/face wash. Potable water for drinking, washing and decontamination shall <br /> also be available at the Site. <br /> 2. All personnel working on the Site shall have had a tetanus booster shot <br /> within a time frame recommended by a physician (7-10 years). <br /> 3. A cellular phone and the telephone number of a local physician shall be <br /> provided at the Site. The physician shall be notified prior to the clean up that his/her <br /> number wi11 be called in the event of any injury occurring during the cleanup. <br /> C. Decontamination. <br /> 1. All coveralls and gloves shall be discarded by the hazardous material <br /> handling trained worker in the event of contamination or damage to said equipment. <br /> 2. Hazardous material handlers shall be provided with change room facilities <br /> including showers. <br /> 3. All contaminated clothing shall be disposed of or laundered as per the <br /> direction of the Supervisor. Any launderer used shall first be notified as to what hazardous <br /> material contaminated the clothing. <br /> 4. A compilation of the MSDS attached hereto shall be kept on the Site for <br /> reference. <br /> D. Miscellaneous, <br /> 1. Brass tools shall be maintained on the Site for use in opening any containers <br /> that may contain Level B flammable liquids or vapors pursuant to 29 CFR 1910.120. <br /> 8 <br />
