Mr. Allan Fetters - 2 - 29 October 2007
In our meeting, we also agreed on the following:
• Ripon Farm Service welcomes the opportunity to obtain water, sewer and stormwater
services from the City of Ripon. The City of Ripon will be contacted to verify that the fees
have been paid and that connections can be made. When municipal water is delivered,
the on-site water supply well will be scheduled to be destroyed.
• The elevation of monitoring well RMW-1 SR will be resurveyed the next time a survey team
is engaged at the site.
• For a groundwater remediation program, a cleanup goal will need to be set. The cleanup
goal may depend upon an analysis of the background concentrations of nitrate in
groundwater.
• A joint meeting with the City of Ripon, Ripon Farm Service, and Regional Water Board staff
will be arranged after the soil and groundwater data has been obtained and reported.
By 2 November 2007, please provide a draft diagram of shallow soil sampling locations. The
draft diagram may be transmitted electronically. We look forward to meeting with you at the
site on 6 November 2007 at 11:30 to discuss the sampling locations. By 16 November 2007,
please provide a final work plan for surface soil sampling. At the minimum, it should include a
description of the procedure, the analyses to be run on the samples, the depth of samples,
and a site diagram. The diagram should identify sumps, wells, features, and paving. Also by
16 November 2007, please provide a schedule to make connections to municipal services,
and a status report regarding pumping schedules for W-12 and the on-site supply well in
relation to measuring the influence of these pumps on shallow groundwater.
We look forward to meeting with you during our
If y u have any questions, you may contact me by telephone at (916) 464-4680, or by email at
ate/rrelle.v/aterboards.ca.gov.
AMY(TERRELL
Site Cleanup Program
cc: Mr. Kevin Werner, City of Ripon, Ripon
Ms. Adrienne Ellsaesser, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept., Stockton
Ms. Vicki McCartney, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Mr. Joseph Spano, DHS Drinking Water Program, Stockton
Mr. Bud den Ouden, Ripon Farm Service, Ripon
Mr. Jeffrey Hawkins, Isola & Ruiz, LLP, Lodi
Mr. John Cooper, Genesis Engineering and Redevelopment, Ripon
Mr. Greg Stahl, Ground Zero Analysis, Inc., Escalon
Mr. William Little, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Stockton
Ms. Stacy Guthmiller, Herum Crabtree Brown, Stockton
