lie Work Plan <br /> Canepa's Car Wash <br /> May 28, 1997 <br /> Page -4- <br /> The safety shutoff apparatus for the CAT-OX system includes (1) a flame out sensor, (2) a high <br />' temperature switch for the combustion chamber and catalyst, (3) high and low gas pressure switches, <br /> (4) a low air flow switch, and (5) a control panel electrical power loss switch The water knockout <br /> drum or water containment system will be equipped with a high water level shutoff switch <br /> I <br /> 3 2 CAT-OX S}stein Installation <br /> 3.21 Permitting <br /> The APCD requires the submittal of an Authority to Construct (ATC) permit application for review <br /> and approval prior to installation of the CAT-OX system Permitting fees will be assessed by the <br /> APCD The ATC permit will stipulate conditions that must be adhered to during the installation and <br />' operation of the CAT-OX system <br /> A construction permit will be obtained from the City of Stockton engineering department The permit <br /> will include the following (a) electrical service panel and line, (b) gas service meter and line, and (c) <br /> an anchor (bolt down) system (if required based on structural calculations) The structural calculations <br /> for the anchor system will be performed by a professional engineer and provided to the City of <br /> Stockton for review Permitting fees will be assessed by the City of Stockton The City of Stockton <br /> Fire Department will be notified of the CAT-OX installation The PHS/EHD will be notified at least <br /> 48 hours prior to all fieldwork <br /> 3 2 2 Catalytic Oxidizer <br /> I The system will be installed as shown in Figure 3 Appendix A The system will be surrounded with <br /> chain-link fencing for safety and security purposes The fence will be at least 6-feet high with shading <br /> slats installed for noise reduction The fence will have a lockable gate Traffic barrier posts will be <br /> installed around the fence to protect the system from vehicular damage if required, based on <br /> structural calculations, the CAT-OX system will be anchored to the ground surface The City of <br /> Stockton will inspect the anchoring following installation <br /> The system will be connected to the existing SVE conduit with a 2-inch diameter PVC piping <br /> manifold Each extraction well conduit will be equipped with a shutoff valve and a sampling valve <br /> The SVE conduit manifold will be configured to allow simultaneous operation of selected SVE wells <br /> 3.2 3 Supplemental Fuel <br /> Supplemental fuel (natural gas) will be piped to the system from a source located adjacent to Evelyn <br /> Street (figure 3, Appendix A) The trenching will be conducted by a licensed contractor PG&E will <br /> install the gas conduit and connect the conduit to the existing gas line PG&E will install a separate <br /> gas meter for the CAT-OX system The trench will be backfilled by a licensed contractor following <br /> I <br /> CONDOR <br /> I <br />
