We
have also reduced the number and depth of exploratory soil borings resulting in the collection
and analysis of fewer soil samples.
Please note that the intent of this scope of work is to further evaluate the concerns addressed by
specific Phase I Environmental Site Assessment recommendations. It is not the intent of this
scope of work to identify the extent of contamination or ascertain cleanup costs for the
contaminants (if present). Such services may be provided following the completion of this scope
of work (if contamination exists), at an additional cost. Also, please note that the
recommendations not mentioned in this proposal are either general recommendations or
statements for the property, related to offsite properties, or were not requested to be addressed by
the client in this document. A proposal can be issued by Kleinfelder to address any additional
concerns, upon the request of the client.
In accordance with our existing contract, Kleinfelder has selected DBE subcontractors for
specialized tasks (i.e., laboratory analysis, drilling contractor) necessary to complete our scope of
work. Additionally, the tasks described in this document have been scoped so that each task is
fully independent of the others. This will allow for flexibility in scheduling each task, and will
provide the client with information from each phase of the project in a timely manner.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
TASK 1.0—SITE VISITS AND INTERVIEWS (Phase I ESA Recommendation No. 1)
During the Phase I ESA, access to the private parcels identified by Key Numbers 41 (Cherokee
Truck Lines), 42 (Duraliner/Rainbow Bakery), 43 (Pacific Coast Building Products), 44 (Pepsi
Cola), 48 (Shawver Trucking), and 50 (Bar A) was not available. Kleinfelder recommended that
follow up site visits and interviews with property owners/occupants be conducted for these
private parcels.
This scope of work and the attached cost estimate is based on the assumption that the client will
provide Kleinfelder with access to these properties in the form of a written right of entry
agreement. Additionally, we request that the client provide phone numbers and mailing
addresses for our use in contacting property owners/occupants for the interview portion of this
task.
Task 1.1—Site Visits
Kleinfelder personnel will conduct a site visit for each of the private parcels identified previously
to observe field conditions indicating recognizable environmental conditions in connection with
the property which may include for example:
• Note obvious location(s) of suspected past and present hazardous substance storage,
application, use, and disposal areas.
20-YP8-090/201911,300/2019W025 Page 2 of 1 I
Copyright 1999 Kleinfelder, Inc.
