hTJ KL E I N F E L D E R
• Note obvious location(s) of aboveground and underground storage tanks, pipelines, wells,
transformers, and note building materials suspected to contain asbestos. Any pertinent
information or helpful documents that the client has or can obtain regarding as-built
drawings, environmental permits or registrations previous assessments, etc., for underground
tanks etc., is requested to be made available for use by Kleinfelder.
• Note obvious uses and environmental conditions concerns as noted in the review of the aerial
photography.
• Note facilities adjacent to the site that have an obvious potential to affect the environmental
conditions at the site.
• Photographically document conditions at the time of the site visit.
Task 1.2—Interviews
A reasonable attempt will be made to interview available "key site managers" who may have
historical environmental information of the subject site. Key site managers may include current
or past owners of the site, and/or current site occupants. Interviews will be limited, to a
maximum of two selected key personnel per site. The client will be responsible for supplying
the names and phone numbers of two key personnel to be interviewed. Interviews will also be
conducted (if possible) during the site visits conducted under Task 1.1 of this scope of work.
Task 1.3—Reporting
Upon completion of the follow up site visits and interviews, Kleinfelder will prepare an
addendum to the Phase I ESA report. The report addendum will describe the results of the site
visits and interviews, along with any revisions and/or additions to our Phase I ESA conclusions
and recommendations.
TASK 2.0—LIMITED SOIL ASSESSMENT
(Phase 1 ESA Recommendation Nos.9& 11)
Recommendation No. 9 (formerly Task 3.0 of our July 1999 proposal)
Kleinfelder proposes to collect soil samples at three properties adjacent to the Route 99 portion
of the project which have the potential to impact the construction project due to known or
suspected soil contamination: adjacent to the fuel tanks at UPS Trucking, adjacent to Roy's
Auto Wrecking, adjacent to the tilled in ditch at Cherokee Truck Stop. The previously proposed
sampling adjacent to the disposal pond at Beaver/US Chemical has been deleted from the scope
of work.
The proposed sampling locations are located within CalTrans owned right of way. This scope of
work and the attached cost estimate is based on the assumption that the client will provide
Kleinfelder with a written right of entry agreement from CalTrans. Kleinfelder's cost estimate
includes costs for traffic signage in accordance with CalTrans requirements.
20-YP8-090/201913300/2019W025 Page 3 of I 1
Copyright 1999 Kleinfelder.
