1
' k'9 KLEINFELDER
Kleinfelder proposes to advance exploratory soil borings for collection of soil samples. The
number of exploratory borings at each location is summarized as follows. Please refer to the
attached plates.
Location/Off Site Concerns Number of exploratory borings
UPS Truckin- I
Roy's Auto Wrecking
Cherokee Truck Stop 1
Recommendation No. 11 (formerly Task 4.0 of our July 1999 proposal)
Several surface impoundments are located adjacent to or partially within the project area. Based
upon maps provided by Mark Thomas & Company, only one surface impoundment is located
within a property acquisition. The surface impoundment is located on private property. This
scope of work and the attached cost estimate is based on the assumption that the client will
provide Kleinfelder with a written right of entry agreement from the property owner. Our cost is
also based on conducted this sampling during the same field event as the proposed borings
within the CalTrans right of way. Our cost assumes only one field mobilization will be
necessary for both recommendation 9 and 11.
Kleinfelder proposes to advance exploratory soil borings for collection of soil samples under this
task. The number of exploratory borings at each location is summarized as follows. Please refer
to the attached plates.
Location/Surface Number of exploratory borings
Impoundments
Key No.47(Western Truck School)
Task 2.1—Pre-Field Activities
Kleinfelder proposes to advance exploratory soil borings for collection of soil samples for
chemical analysis under this task. The San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department
Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) requires approval of a workplan, application for a
boring permit, and payment of fees prior to conducting assessment activities. It is assumed that
this workplan will suffice to obtain approval from the PHS/EHD. Kleinfelder will prepare
boring permit applications for submittal with the permit fees to PHS/EHD. Permits and fees are
required for each separate Assessor Parcel Number (APNs). Because we are proposing to
advance borings within the State right of way, we are assuming that as one property, only one
permit and fee will be required for the borings located within the right of way. If this assumption
does not hold true, additional permit fees will be charged to Mark Thomas & Company. The
permits and workplan must be approved prior to conducting any drilling or sampling.
20-YP8-090/201913300/2019W025 Page 4 of I 1
Copyright 1999 Kleinlelder. Inc.
