I <br /> Union Safe Deposit Workplan <br /> 3.4 PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> F The purpose of the proposed investigation will be to confirm or deny the <br /> Lpresence of hydrocarbons in subsoil and groundwater at the subject property . <br /> Additionally, Augeas Corporation hopes to determine whether underground <br /> storage tanks and their associated piping are still located beneath the subject <br /> site. <br /> C The scope of the proposed investigation will be accomplished by and limited <br /> to exploratory boring and soil sampling,Hydropunch groundwater sampling, <br /> and chemical analysis of soil and groundwater samples. <br /> The completed final report will provide more conclusive evidence as to the <br /> presence or lack of contamination beneath the site. The proposed scope of <br /> services will include the following tasks: <br /> . Obtaining necessary permits prior to the commencement of the <br /> field portion of the investigation; <br /> Drilling and sampling of subsoils for lithologic evaluation and <br /> chemical analysis; <br /> Hydropunch groundwater sampling; <br /> Chemical analysis of groundwater samples to assess the pres- <br /> ence and concentration of petroleum constituents; <br /> Preparing a written report to present our findings, conclusions <br /> and recommendations. <br /> LProject Number: UNIS622 Page 3 of 8 <br />
