SECTION 6 - PROGRESS SCHEDULE AND ORDER OF WORK The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer a practicable progress schedule within ten (10) calendar days of the "Notice to Proceed", and within five (5) calendar days of the Engineer's written request at any other time. The schedule shall show the order in which the Contractor proposes to carry out the work, the dates on which he will start the several salient features of the work (including procurement of materials and equipment), and the contemplated dates for completing the said salient features. As provided in Section 6-01 of the Standard Specifications of the City of Tracy, "Progress and Acceptance of Work", the Contractor is advised that the Engineer may further direct by areas on the site, the order of installation of each major item of work so that succeeding major items of work may have timely and simultaneous access and that failure to comply with directions of the Engineer concerning the order of work may be cause for damages should work under the same be delayed. Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. SECTION 7 - PAY ITEMS 4" No separate payment will be made for incidentals or any items delineated on the plans or called for in the specifications to be supplied and installed which are not specifically listed as bid items but are required to complete the project. Full compensation for such �- items shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. �- The quantities listed in the bid schedule do not govern final payment. Payment to the Contractor will be made only for the actual quantities of contract items constructed in ` accordance with the plans and specifications. If upon completion of the construction, +.. these actual quantities show either an increase or decrease from the quantities given in the bid schedule, the contract unit prices will prevail. r.. Payment will not be made for materials and wastes disposed of in a manner not called for under contract. This includes, but is not limited to, rejected material not unloaded from vehicles, material rejected after it has been placed and material placed outside of s., the plan lines. No payment will be made for materials delivered to the site but not incorporated in the work. No compensation will be allowed for disposing of rejected or excess material. Payment for lump sum items of work shall be made in accordance with Section 9-2 "Lump Sum Work" of the SSPWC. Contractor shall submit to the Engineer, at the Pre- construction Conference, a detailed schedule or breakdown of lump sum items to be used as a basis for determining progress payments on lump sum work.
