Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 17 - DISPOSAL OF MATERIAL <br /> Unless otherwise shown on the plans or specified herein, all excess materials shall <br /> become property of the Contractor and disposed of by the Contractor. The Contractor <br /> shall be responsible for disposing all excess materials in a safe and legal manner. No <br /> material shall be placed on private property or public property without prior approval <br /> from the City and the property owner. The Contractor shall not allow any refuse, <br /> excavated material, surplus concrete or mortar, or any washings therefrom, to be <br /> disposed upon paved streets, into catch basins, or otherwise into the City storm drain <br /> system. <br /> All materials removed from the existing improvements, which in the opinion of the <br /> Engineer have salvage value but not reused, shall be delivered to the City Corporation <br /> Yard at 520 Tracy Boulevard, at no additional cost to the City. <br /> w. <br /> Disposal of materials shall conform to the provision of Section 300.02, "Disposal of <br /> Materials" of the City of Tracy Standard Specifications. <br /> The Contractor shall be charged prevailing dumping fees at the County's landfill site., <br /> should the Contractor elect to dispose of waste material at that particular site. <br /> ~ Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> lo, items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 18 -CONSTRUCTION WATER <br /> Construction water is available at no cost to the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible <br /> for obtaining the required permit from the City and providing an approved water truck, <br /> y„ complete with installed with backflow prevention devices prior to obtaining any <br /> construction water from City hydrants. <br /> Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 19 -WATER AND SEWER SHUTDOWN <br /> Shut down of water or sewer services shall be done only during non-business hours and <br /> after the Contractor has coordinated the shut down with the Engineer. When a water <br /> main, sewer main, or service lateral is to be shut down, the Contractor shall coordinate <br /> and notify the Engineer in writing, at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the shut <br /> down. The Contractor shall proceed with the work in an expedient manner until the water <br /> lines or sewer lines are back in service. <br /> DIVISION II-8 Special Requirements <br />
