Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. SECTION 17 - DISPOSAL OF MATERIAL Unless otherwise shown on the plans or specified herein, all excess materials shall become property of the Contractor and disposed of by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for disposing all excess materials in a safe and legal manner. No material shall be placed on private property or public property without prior approval from the City and the property owner. The Contractor shall not allow any refuse, excavated material, surplus concrete or mortar, or any washings therefrom, to be disposed upon paved streets, into catch basins, or otherwise into the City storm drain system. All materials removed from the existing improvements, which in the opinion of the Engineer have salvage value but not reused, shall be delivered to the City Corporation Yard at 520 Tracy Boulevard, at no additional cost to the City. w. Disposal of materials shall conform to the provision of Section 300.02, "Disposal of Materials" of the City of Tracy Standard Specifications. SECTION 18 -CONSTRUCTION WATER Construction water is available at no cost to the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining the required permit from the City and providing an approved water truck, y„ complete with installed with backflow prevention devices prior to obtaining any construction water from City hydrants. SECTION 19 -WATER AND SEWER SHUTDOWN Shut down of water or sewer services shall be done only during non-business hours and after the Contractor has coordinated the shut down with the Engineer. When a water main, sewer main, or service lateral is to be shut down, the Contractor shall coordinate and notify the Engineer in writing, at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the shut down. The Contractor shall proceed with the work in an expedient manner until the water lines or sewer lines are back in service. DIVISION II-8 Special Requirements
