258 automobiles on approximately two acres.
i . Amount and what kind of truck traffic?
It is anticipated that with this new and larger facility,
that our truck traffic could increase to 28 delivery and
pickups per day. These trucks range in size from small
utility vans to tractors with 48 foot trailers. We would
expect to see only two to three of the larger trucks per
day. M w. ....
j . How many planes would be rolling in and out of the
facility in any given time frame , and what percentage
increase in air traffic might result from the facility?
Initially there would be no aircraft traffic to this
facility. However , as time goes by, an effort will be
made to get Government repair contracts which will
necessitate the arrival and departure of various
aircraft . I would estimate that there could be as many as
two or three flights per day. The purpose of these
flights would be to test the aircraft prior to their
delivery to the customer . These flights would take place
between the hours of 7:88 AM and 6:88 PM.
k . Would any odors be generated from the project?
The only ordors generated would be from the exhaust of
taxiing aircraft .
1 . Would a fire at this facility require any special fire
fighting equipment or training?
No. The entire facility would be sprinkler and alarm
protected. In order to qualify for Government
contracting, the facility being used must meet certain
fire and safety standards. These standards are general
more ridged than those found in general and commercial
aviation .
m. If Aero Turbine does not get ' through-the-fence' access
to the airport , what route would be used to get the jet
engines from the airport to the project site . Also, how
would they be transported?
Aero Turbine currently receives and ships all of our
engine and components by commercial truck . The engines
and components we repair do not normally come through an
airport facility. We are not dependent on any airport for
any of our current operations. The purpose of having
' through-the fence' operations is to allow Aero Turbine
to expand our current business to include airframe
repair . To have an airframe repair facility we must have
access to a runway. Stockton was chosen as the site for
