f
devoted to landscaping.
4 . The specific use for that project?
It is our intention to construct two buildings. The first
building would consist of approximately 58 ,488 square
feet , and would house our jet engine overhaul and
manufacturing facilities. This would be a direct
replacement of the facilities we currently have in San
Ramon . The second building would consist of a hangar of
approximately 33,688 square feet . The hangar would add
aircraft repair capabilities which we do not presently
have .
5. The nature of the traffic that will be involved?
The majority of ground traffic would come from our
employees coming to, and leaving from work . We would have
some traffic resulting from various pickup and delivery
services. The pickup and delivery services could result
in as many as twenty (28) additional vehicles per day.
Once we have established the aircraft repair facility, we
could expect as many as one to two aircraft arrives and
departures per day.
6. The present and prospective number of employees?
We currently have approximately fifty (58) employees. It
is expected that the number of employees could grow to
two hundred fifty (258) . However , it is expected that it
will take several years to develope enough business to
require that many employees.
7. The water demands that would be involved in this use?
The primary water demands will come from employee
drinking and rest room facilities. I am not familiar with
the typical demands for these kinds of facilities. We do
use water during some of our manufacturing and repair
opertions, however , the amount used is very small . Most
of our equipment which requires the use of water , has the
ability to recycle its own water .
8. Any issues involving toxics because of the proposed use?
We use only one type of material which would be
considered toxic . That material is Alodine . Alodine is a
chemical mixture of Chromic Acid, Potassium Ferricyanide ,
Potassium Flozirconate , and Sodium Florioborate . We
usually have approximately 18 lbs. of Alodine cyrstal on
hand at any one time . To dispose of this material , we
first dilute it with Sodium Metabisulfite , neutralize it
with lime , and then have it hauled by a licensed
hazardous material hauler to an approved disposal site .
All of our solvents and oils are recycled at a waste
recycling facilitiy.
