This letter confirms the completion of the site investigation and remedial action for the
oil water separator(OWS) at Building 617. Comments on the OWS at Building 508 will be under
separate cover.
Building 617's OWS was formerly used for disposal at an auto repair facility and hobby shop in the
adjacent building. According to the scope of the investigation in 1997, the sump and associated piping
were removed and the excavation was backfilled with clean soil and capped with concrete and the three
chambers of the OWS were cleaned. All TPH-gasoline and TPH-diesel were below the reporting limits
or non-detect, as were all PCBs, SVOCs and BTEX compounds. Based upon analytical results of
investigations, we find that there is no significant risk to the environment from the former UST, and
therefore no further actions are required at this site.
Please contact John R ssell at (916) 255-3066 if you have any questions regarding this matter.
AN O K.J.
