The river walk should be illuminated with vandal resistant lighting. <br /> The lights should be on a timer or other device that turns the lights <br /> on at sunset and off at sunrise. Lighting should provide one quarter <br /> footcandles per square foot of surface. Readings should be taken on <br /> the ground. <br /> The linear dock should be illuminated with vandal resistant fixtures. <br /> Care should be taken to prevent stray light falling onto navigable <br /> waterways. <br /> All buildings should meet the California Model Building and Security <br /> Ordinance as developed by The California Crime Prevention officers <br /> Association. <br /> A security fence should encompass the boatyard. All gates should be <br /> lighted during hours of darkness and kept locked during non-business <br /> hours. All tools should be locked in a secure storage building. The <br /> building should be equipped with an audible alarm. <br /> The convenience store should equipped with an audible alarm and anti- <br /> shoplifting techniques should be employed. <br /> All parking lots should be lighted with vandal resistant fixtures. <br /> All such lighting should be on timers capable of turning the lights <br /> on at sunset and off at sunrise. Lights should provide one quarter <br /> foot candles of illumination per square foot of surface area. Readings <br /> should be taken on the ground. <br />
