SHELL SSTOCKTON TERMINAL <br /> October 24, 2019 <br /> Site Safety Plan <br /> can star . Each Contractor employee is required to sign-in/out the Terminal Contractor <br /> Log Book. Prior to signing the permits Shell Operations shall visit the work area with the <br /> contractor to review the site hazardous pertaining to the work area and a final walk <br /> around at the end of the-day: <br /> Assessing the risks of what they will be doing, analyzing ways of reducing the <br /> risks involved performing the task, and acting to make sure that the job is done safely. <br /> Observations (Beyond Zero) on the Contractor employees to ensure that the job task is <br /> being performedproperly, and to a safe manner. . <br /> Brinderson supervision is expected to conduct weekly safety audits to ensure that <br /> the job will continue to be performed in a safe manner. <br /> PROPER PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE) <br /> Each task should be evaluated for what personal protective equipment, including <br /> clothing, should be worn to prevent injury. Use JSA to identify work and determine <br /> proper PPE. Proper PPE should include the wearing of long sleeve FRC clothingg or <br /> Names, 'safety glasses with side shields, leather gloves, hard hats, safety vest and hard <br /> soled shoes. The contractor shall provide all PPE to his/her employees and must not start <br /> work with out the .proper PPE. If the contractor comes to the i ob site unprepared they <br /> will not be allowed to start work until the proper PPE is demonstrated It will also be <br /> noted that only the foremen will be allowed to use his cell phone if cover on the Shell <br /> work permit. No other electronic devises will be allowed on Shell property. All power <br /> equipment should be pro'tec'ted by 'CrFI supplied by contractor. <br /> Minimum PPE Reduirement <br /> All employees, visitors and contractors, including_ service contractors, workingin <br /> operating areas must use : <br /> • Hard Hat <br /> • Proper gloves for task <br /> • Safety Glasses with Side Shields <br /> Steel' Toe -Boots <br /> - <br /> • FRC clothing <br /> • Additional PPE may be required see specific site safety plan <br /> Two 20 His fire extinguisher with designated fire watches are required at all job <br /> sites including a protective base and locator for the fire extinguisher. <br /> All jobs that require trot work including tank farm and loading rack but not limited to-will <br /> include xa LFL monitor. The LEL .:monitor shalt be bump tested .dally and calibrafion <br /> reports availed upon request. Hot work shall shut down 30min prior to end of day. <br /> The Fire Watch must be maintained for a minimum of 30 minutes after hot work <br /> ceases. During this time, the Fire Watch must inspect the adjacent areas where <br /> sparks or flame may have traveled and look for signs of combustion. The LEL <br /> REV 10/24/2019 Page 4 of 6 <br />
