Includes a description of housekeeping practices in the solid waste staging area that will be <br /> implemented to effectively preclude the release to land of liquid waste. <br /> 2. Includes a description of the proposed storage, treatment, and disposal of olive leaves and <br /> sludge in a manner allowed by the WDRs. The description must <br /> a. include a map identifying the field(s) where the Discharger proposes to apply olive <br /> leaves and/or pond sludge and the location(s) of the proposed storage piles for olive <br /> leaves and/or pond sludge, <br /> b. provide sufficient details on how pond sludge and olive leaves will be uniformly <br /> discharged and incorporated in land application area soils, <br /> C. identify nitrogen loading calculations for each field that accounts for all nitrogen <br /> sources (i.e., wastewater, fertilizer, olive leaves, pond sludge) demonstrating that the <br /> proposed discharge will not exceed prescribed nitrogen loading limits, and <br /> d. include a statement that olive leaves and/or pond sludge will not be applied to <br /> application area soils with plant available nitrogen exceeding 175 lbs/acre (as <br /> determined by the sum of ammonia and nitrate existing in the soil within the root zone <br /> prior to discharge). <br /> 3. Includes a map identifying the field(s) where the Discharger had applied olive leaves and <br /> pond sludge in the past and the location(s) of past pond sludge temporary storage piles. <br /> 4. Includes analytical data on soil nitrate concentrations in fields that had received past <br /> applications of olive leaves and pond sludge and in areas of similar soil type that have not <br /> received any past waste discharges (please confer with Regional Board staff prior to <br /> collecting soil samples). <br /> 5.
