WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> MC COF11ICK AND BAXTER CREOSOTING COMPANY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 6. The discharge shall not contain toxic materials in concentrations <br /> detrimental to human, plant, animal, bird, or fish life. <br /> D. Effluent Limitations, Process Wastes: <br /> 1. The discharge of wastes other than cooling and boiler blowdown water <br /> to surface waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 2. Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited. <br /> 3. Wastes discharged to land shall not cause degradation of any water <br /> supply. <br /> E. Receiving Water Limitations: <br /> 1. The discharge shall not cause the dissolved oxygen concentration in <br /> Mormon Slough to fall below 5.01mg/1. <br /> 2. The discharge shall not cause visible oil, grease, scum, or foam in the <br /> receiving waters or watercourses. <br /> 3. The discharge shall not cause concentrations of any materials in the <br /> receiving waters which are deleterious to human, animal, aquatic, or <br /> plant life. <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause esthetically undesirable discoloration <br /> of the receiving waters. <br /> 5. The discharge shall not cause fungus, slimes, or other objectionable <br /> growths in the receiving waters. <br /> 6. The discharge shall not cause bottom deposits in the receiving waters. <br /> 7. The discharge shall not cause floating or suspended materials in the <br /> receiving waters. <br /> 8. The discharge shall not cause a violation of any applicable water <br /> quality standard for receiving waters adopted by the Board or the <br /> State Water Resources Control Board as required by the Federal Water <br /> Pollution Control Act and regulations adopted thereunder. If more <br /> stringent applicable water quality standards are approved pursuant <br /> to Section 303 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, or amend- <br /> ments thereto, the Board will revise and modify this Order in accor- <br /> dance with such more stringent standards. <br /> 9. The discharge,either individually or in combination with other dis- <br /> charges, shall not create a zone, defined by water temperatures of <br /> more than one Fahrenheit degree above natural receiving water <br /> temperature, which exceeds 25 percent of the cross-sectional area <br /> of the main stream channel at any point. <br /> - 4 - <br />
