The Phillips Services Corporation (PSC) Program
Overview PSC is a licensed hazardous waste management company that is managed
®® by Kodak Service and Support. PSC assists with the proper transport and
disposal of photo hazardous wastes collected in drums from Photo labs.
PSC Waste Two separate waste streams, both collected in drums (haul drums and drums
Management of empty F1 cartridges), are managed through the PSC program.
Haul Drums
• For stores that are not permitted to discharge treated photo
processing waste water to the sanitary sewer, haul drums are
provided for the purpose of collecting this waste water for off-site
treatment and disposal.
• Haul drums are transported by PSC to a facility that recovers the
silver from the liquids and then properly disposes of the remaining
waste water. Kodak Service and Support determines an appropriate
interval to pick up the full drums and deliver empty drums based on
the volume of photo processing typically done at the store.
• Haul drums should arrive at the store with hazardous waste labels
already attached and mostly completed. Add the date and ensure the
label is completed properly prior to using each drum. If the drum is
delivered without a label or with a lid that will not close securely, you
must call PSC at 866-566-5309.
• When starting to fill the last empty haul drum, call PSC at 866-566-
5309 to request a pick-up to ensure that a new drum will be delivered
before the last drum is full.
Continued on next page
© CVS/pharmacy 6
CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS INFORMATION
CVS000010419
