REPRODUCED AT GOVERNMENT EXPENSE <br />I PART 2 - EXECUTION <br />2.1 STATION REGULATIONS: The Contractor and his employees and subcontractor <br />shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations, including fire, <br />traffic and security regulations. All personnel employed on the station <br />shall keep within the limits of the work (and avenues of ingress and egress), <br />and shall not enter any restricted areas unless required to do so and are <br />cleared for such entry. The Contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously <br />marked for identification. <br />2.1.1 Working Hours: Regular working hours shall consist of an 8 1/2 -hour <br />period established by the Contracting Officer between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 <br />p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. The Contractor <br />shall make application for work outside regular working hours 15 calendar <br />days prior to such work in accordance with the paragraph entitled "Work <br />Outside Regular Hours." <br />2.1.2 Work Outside Regular Hours: If the Contactor desires to carry on work <br />outside regular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Government holidays, <br />an application shall be submitted to the Officer in Charge of Construction. <br />The Contractor shall allow ample time to enable satisfactory arrangements to <br />be made by the Government for inspecting the work in progress. During periods <br />of darkness, the different parts of the work shall be lighted in a manner <br />approaved by the Officer in Charge of Construction. All utility cutovers <br />shall be made after normal working hours or on Saturdays, Sundays, and <br />Government holidays. Anticipated costs shall be included in the bid. <br />2.2 ORDER OF WORK: The Contractor shall schedule his work as to cause the <br />least amount of interference with station operations. Work schedules shall <br />be subject to the approval of the Officer in Charge of Construction. <br />Permission to interrupt any station roads, railroads and/or utility service <br />shall be requested in writing a minimum of 15 calendar days prior to the <br />desired date of interruption. <br />2.3 WORK BY THE CONTRACTOR: <br />2.3.1 Performance of Work by the Contractor (APR 1984): The Contractor <br />shall perform on the site, and with its own organization, work equivalent to <br />at least twenty (20) percent of the total amount of work to be performed <br />under the contract. This percentage may be reduced by a supplemental <br />agreement to this contract if, during performing the work, the Contractor <br />requests a reduction and the Contracting Officer determines that the <br />reduction would be to the advantage of the Government. (FAR 52.236-1) <br />2.3.2 Description of Work Performed by the Contractor: In addition to the <br />requirements of the paragraph entitled "Performance of Work by the Contractor <br />(APR 1984)" and prior to the commencement of work at the site, furnish to the <br />Contracting Officer a description of the work to be performed with the <br />
