REPRODUCED AT GOVER NMENI EXPENSE. <br />2.3.3 Restrictions Upon Interrupting Utility Services: The clause of the <br />Contract Clauses entitled, "Schedules for Construction Contract"; the para- <br />graph General Paragraphs, entitled, "Order of Work"; and the following apply: <br />a. Ensure that new utility lines are complete including testing, except <br />for connection, before interrupting existing service. <br />b. Interruption to Water, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Telephone <br />Service, Electric Service, Air Conditioning, -Heating, Fire Alarm. The <br />utility interruption shall be considered util-ity cutovers pursuant to <br />the paragraph of the General Paragraphs, entitled "Work Outside Regular <br />Hours". This limit includes time for deactivation and reactivation. <br />2.3.4 Restrictions Upon Interrupting Station Operations: Reference is made <br />to the paragraph of the General Paragraphs, entitled, "Order of Work". Work <br />under this contract requires special attention to scheduling and conduct of <br />work in connection with existing operating systems. Identify on project <br />schedule each factor which constitutes a potential interruption to operations. <br />The following conditions apply: <br />a. Stationwide Railroad Traffic <br />b. Stationwide Vehicular Traffic <br />2.3.5 Coordination With Other Work: The clause of the Contract Clauses <br />entitled, "Other Contracts"; the paragraph of the General Paragraphs, <br />entitled, "Order of Work"; and the following apply: <br />2.3.5.1 Occupied Buildings: Work is required around existing buildings <br />which are occupied. Do not enter the buildings without prior approval of <br />the Contracting Officer. Leave attached equipment in place, and protect them <br />against damage, or temporarily disconnect, relocate, protect, and reinstall <br />them at completion of work. The Government will remove and relocate other <br />Government property in areas of buildings scheduled to receive work. <br />2.3.6 Security Requirements: No employee or representative of the <br />Contractor will be admitted to work site without satisfactory proof of United <br />States citizenship or is specifically authorized admittance to the work site <br />by the Officer in Charge of Construction. <br />2.3.7 Restrictions to Ensure Safety: <br />2.3.7.1 Safety Plan: The work under this contract is potentially hazardous. <br />Pursuant to the additional measured requirement of the Contract Clause <br />entitled, "Accident Prevention," the Contractor shall submit in writing <br />proposals for effectuating accident prevention and shall meet in conference <br />with the Contracting Officer to discuss and develop mutual understandings <br />relative to the administration of the overall safety program. <br />2.3-7.2 Excavation: Open only those trenches for which material is on hand <br />and ready for placing therein. As soon as possible after the material has <br />been placed and work approved, backfill and compact the trenches as <br />specified. <br />
