Al <br />Gonzales(COR) and Craig Chafee (V&W). Garrett (Geo -Fon senior geologist) arrived <br />at 0830 hrs Badges allowing the crew on site were obtained. A safety briefing <br />was conducted at 0925 hrs. Dennis Catanyan (County representative) arrived at <br />0945 hrs. <br />The drill rig was set up at 0950 hrs. Garrett inspected the rig and observed <br />operations. Augering began at 1030 hrs. V&W began augering to concrete depth. <br />they then switched to air rotory drilling through the concrete. Once they <br />drilled through the concrete they switched to direct push with a split spoon <br />tip. The first sample was collected at 1115 hrs by Garrett Weiss. T-2 sample <br />was collected at 1232 hrs. <br />Rebar was encountered at the T-3 location. T-3 sample location was moved 1' <br />south after conferring with Dennis Catanyan. This sample was collected at <br />1450. V&W began grouting T-1. T-2 and T-3 sample holes with a slurry <br />cementuous mix. We left the site at 1600 hrs. <br />Subject: Safety Inspections/Meetings: <br />Topics included safety around drill machines. including hearing protection. <br />lifting techniques. complacency and hazards associated with drill rigs. We <br />also discussed safe driving speeds while on the base and basic base and company <br />rules. <br />7.
