QC NARRATIVE(S) <br />Subject: General Comments: <br />Geofon is making final trimming of AST. Tie in connection to Day tanks will be <br />executed today. I called Don Valentine and reminded his of this event. He <br />stated that he would be arriving sometime in the a.m. I informed Chief Wyler <br />of this activity at 0830 hrs. He stated that he may be sending a <br />representative to inspect the work while it is being executed. Dan Beever <br />visited the site at 1045 hrs and stated that he informed the fire department <br />and requested an inspection. Inspectors Johnson.and Hutchins arrived at 1100 <br />hrs and noticed no problems. Continue on. The lines leading to the day tanks <br />were cut at approximately 1130 hrs. No problems incurred. Don Valentine <br />visited the job site and was pleased with the progress. I reminded Don that we <br />would need the fuel removed from the AST and additional fuel placed into the <br />AST from the UST before we can test the AST and its components. Don and I went <br />back to Don's office and attempted to -contact Mo Benson. He could not be <br />reached. I told Don that the day tanks had approximately 175 gallons. This <br />would be enough for an emergency situation. Worst case scenario, we would not <br />test the AST until we returned from Edwards AFB. Don didn't d <br />8.
