QC NARRATIVE(S) <br />Subject: General Comments: <br />Geofon crew arrived on site at 0800 hrs. The pad and the channel areas were <br />remeasured prior to cutting with the concrete cutter. The concrete cutter was <br />rented from Hertz rental. Dan Valentine visited the site at approx. 0900hrs. <br />All seems to be going well. Asphalt cutting was completed at about 1200 hrs. <br />A Case backhoe was rented from Hertz. This was used to remove the asphalt that <br />was cut. There was approximately 40 if of curbing that was cut out. This was <br />done to make room for the concrete pad and channel. The concrete and the <br />asphalt was stock piled in the parking area adjacent to the pad cut out <br />location. The area was properly demarcated. I went to our office at <br />approximately 1300 hrs to update some information then proceeded to the COR <br />office at McClullen.AFB to get the QCMS program installed in my lap top. Fred <br />Martin met me at the COR office and downloaded the program. Thanks Fred. <br />Subject: Safety Inspections/Meetings: <br />A brief tailgate meeting was held today. We included such topics as working <br />around heavy equipment. We are to watch for pedestrians while operating the <br />equipment. We also review some of the basic safety issues such as reporting <br />any accident or incident. Workers were reminded of the dress code including <br />safety vests, hard hats and steel toed boots. <br />3. ACTIVITIES STARTED OR FINISHED <br />The following activities were finished today: <br />R00001-002 Site Mobilization <br />4. PREP/INITIAL INSPECTIONS <br />Preparatory Inspection was held today for PLACEMENT OF CONCRETE PAD. <br />Initial Inspection was held today for FORMWORK FOR AST PAD. _ <br />8.
