It is the policy of Lodi Memorial Hospital to monitor and control the storage of <br />fuel oil in an environmentally safe manner. <br />WENNA0994 <br />The secondary containment system of the underground fuel storage tank and product <br />delivery lines will be continuously monitored by a Ronan electronic leak detector <br />monitor. <br />The Ronan system includes a central monitor panel which has a separate visual display <br />for each channel • monitored. Each channel has i <br />1 One GREEN light to indicate the system is functioning, and is not in an alarl9- <br />condon. <br />2. One RED light which turns on if there is any interruption of the circuit, or, if t <br />substance being monitored makes contact with the probe. These conditions <br />also sound an audio alarm immediately. I <br />that it is seen by employees several times per shift. It is also easily accessible to <br />maintenance personnel and any other authorized persons required to inspect the <br />system. The status of the monitor panel shall be logged on a daily basis by the <br />Engineer • Duty. <br />In addition to the electronic monitoring system, the Engineer on Duty shall log weekly <br />the tank stick readings. <br />7111111,111 MT "Ali nom, <br />Ll <br />1. Visual Monitoring: Prior to delivery of fuel, a visual monitoring of the liquid leva <br />of the tank to be filled shall be performed. The Engineer on Duty shall contr <br />the visual monitoring and filling of the tank. i <br />2. Available Tank Capacitf: The tank to be filled shall have an available capacity <br />of 103% of the load to be dropped into it, or the total load plus 150 gallon <br />capacity, whichever is less as determined by storage tank visual monitoring. In <br />addition, special tank charts which indicated how much product can be delivered <br />safely into the tank based on the liquid level measured on the tank measurement <br />stick, shall be available on site from the Engineer • Duty. <br />
