SAFETY TRAINING <br /> Safety training documentation for LLNL Labor personnel is <br /> maintained by LLNL Plant Engineering (PE). All contractors working <br /> on-site must show proof of completion of the following: <br /> • OSHA/SARA 1910.120 (forty hour) Hazardous Waste <br /> Operations and Emergency Response course. <br /> • Eight hour refresher course (if applicable) <br /> • Supervisory personnel must have completed an additional <br /> eight hours of OSHA/SARA 1910.120 training <br /> • Current medical surveillance records <br /> First Aid and Safety Equipment <br /> An on-site area shall be designated for the storage of First Aid and <br /> safety equipment. Supplies shall include: <br /> • a First Aid kit <br /> • plastic tarps <br /> • at least one 20-pound dry chemical fire extinguisher <br /> • air monitoring equipment <br /> • PPE (specified on page D-10) <br /> Air monitoring equipment such as combustible gas/oxygen indicators <br /> shall be calibrated and completely operational prior to use. Since <br /> the percentage of volatile organic constituents in diesel fuel is <br /> extremely low, a photoionization detector to measure volatile <br /> organic compounds will not be necessary. All contractors are <br /> responsible for providing their own PPE and having this equipment <br /> available on site prior to beginning work. <br /> PERSONAL INJURY EMERGENCIES <br /> In the event of an emergency situation, immediately notify LLNL <br /> Emergency Response Services at 911 and ES&H Team 5 at 3-5286. <br /> Emergency Telephone Numbers <br /> Telephones are located at: <br /> LLNL Emergency Response Services: 911 . <br /> D-3 <br />
