Sensor functionality: Functionality of the monitoring system must be verified to ensure that <br />monitoring has been restored to meet the requirements of Title 23 California Code of <br />Regulations and the Health & Safety Code. Prior to receiving fuel, a complete sensor <br />functionality test of tank and piping monitoring system(s) and demonstration of positive <br />shut down (if applicable). <br />i. Functionality of Veeder-Root 208 liquid detec ion sensor of the AST transition <br />sump and two diesel UST STP sumps 6k <br />b. Verify position placement of sensors: ensure the monitoring equipment is capable of <br />detecting a leak at the earliest possible opportunity. <br />i. Placement position of Veeder-Root 208 liquid detection sensor of the AST <br />transition sump and two diesel UST STP sumps <br />c. Visual inspection of diesel primary and secondary piping to insure proper slope prior to <br />backfill. <br />d. Primary piping soap test: One hour pneumatic pressure test at 110% of operating <br />pressure, or 40 psi, whichever is greater. <br />i. Piping between the diesel AST to the truck side dispensers <br />ii. Piping between the diesel UST to the truck side dispensers <br />iii. Piping between the diesel UST to the auto side dispensers <br />e. Secondary piping soap test: One hour pressure test per manufacturer's guidelines. If there <br />are no manufacturer's guidelines, test shall be performed using an applicable method <br />specified in an industry code or engineering standard. <br />i. Piping between the diesel AST to the truck side dispensers <br />ii. Piping between the diesel UST to the truck side dispensers <br />iii. Piping between the diesel UST to the auto side dispensers <br />iv. Piping between the gasoline UST to the truck side dispensers <br />f. Leak detector test: Leak detector must be tested to confirm that the device can detect a <br />leak of 3 gallons per hour at 10 psi. <br />i. VMI 99 LD -2000 of the diesel 20,000 gallon UST of the auto side <br />ii. VMI 99 LD -3000 of the diesel 20,000 gallon UST <br />iii. FePetro STP-MLD-HCD of the diesel 15,000 gallon AST for the UST piping <br />g. 24-hour hydrostatic test (or equivalent) on transition sump. <br />6. Overfill prevention verification: Prior to receiving fuel, verify that external audio and visual <br />alarm activates when AST tank is 90% full. <br />Please be aware that the facility cannot operate the UST or UST piping prior to the EHD <br />inspection and approval. <br />
