Since concrete will be broken near the split 12,000 regular/8,000 premium UST, and two <br />20,000 diesel UST piping, a secondary containment test must be performed on the all product <br />piping once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. <br />8. Secondary containment testing for the transition sump and the two 20,000 diesel UST piping is <br />required six months after installation. Provide 48 hours notification to the EHD when this test <br />is scheduled. <br />9. Qualified service technicians must possess or work under the direct and personal supervision <br />of an individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the following: <br />a. One of several permissible valid, current contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors <br />State License Board (may be issued to the installation company), or a Tank Tester's <br />license issued to the individual by the State Water Board, and <br />b. A valid, current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the International <br />Code Council (ICC), and <br />c. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br />tested, repaired, or serviced. <br />10. Qualified installers must possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an <br />individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the following: <br />a. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board, and <br />b. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br />installed, and <br />c. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the ICC. <br />11. If an individual is found not to be in possession of all valid and current certifications, EHD <br />representatives will not approve the work. <br />12. A "UST Certification of Installation/Modification" form shall be submitted by the owner or the <br />owner's agent (CCR Section 2635(d)) before this upgrade is considered complete by EHD. <br />13. All components including piping, fittings, sumps, under -dispenser containment and tanks must <br />be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as required by the <br />organization. (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc. See Title 23 Chapter 16 Table B for complete <br />list.) Pursuant to Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL) listing requirements, only those products <br />bearing the UL mark will be considered listed. ANY PART/PRODUCT NOT MARKED WITH <br />THE UL LABEL OR ANOTHER LISTED TESTING ORGANIZATION WILL BE REJECTED. <br />14. All metal components in direct contact with the ground such as flexible connectors, swing <br />joints, fittings, clamps, bands, and pumps shall have corrosion protection. <br />15. All monitoring systems shall be listed in the LG 113 letter. <br />16. All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, section <br />2635 and section 2636 of California Code of Regulations (CCR). <br />17. All piping must slope to a containment sump with an audible/visual alarm or the dispensers <br />must be able to provide positive shutdown. <br />18. All secondary containment should be constructed to prevent water intrusion. <br />3 <br />
