® Appropriate action must be taken,including but not limited to <br /> performing first aid, contacting WorkCare or emergency medical <br /> services, confining a spill,and/or minimizing risk to others in the area; <br /> • Once the situation is under control, the Incident must be <br /> communicated as soon as possible verbally to the PM and PIC; <br /> • The event must be entered into the ECS within 24 hours of the safety <br /> event occurring; and <br /> • Work should not be resumed until authorized by either the FSO or PM <br /> if the FSO is unavailable. <br /> WorkCare should be contacted at(888)449-7787 for consultation on all <br /> non-emergency/non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses,however <br /> minor. <br /> NOTE: 911 MUST ALWAYS BE CALLED IN THE EVENT OF A <br /> MEDICAL EMERGENCY. <br /> A follow-up investigation will be performed by either the FSO or another <br /> employee designated by the Division H&S Advisor to fully explore the <br /> cause(s) of the incident and take steps to prevent a future reoccurrence. <br /> ERM 14-2 DEERE/129740-9/29/2011 <br />
