9.0 SITE INFRASTRUCTURE, CONTROL,AND GENERAL RULES <br /> 9.1 INFRASTRUCTURE <br /> 9.1.1 Smoking and Eating Areas <br /> Smoking will only be allowed in designated areas. The FSO will establish <br /> smoking areas per activity-specific and client-specific requirements. <br /> Depending on site activity and work area, the FSO will establish eating <br /> and break areas per site-specific or client-specific requirements. Eating <br /> will only be allowed in the designated areas and the areas will be <br /> maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Employees will wash their <br /> hands before entering eating areas. <br /> 9.1.2 Sanitation and Potable Water <br /> A water cooler with drinking water is available in the field office trailer. <br /> Disposable cups will be stored in a sanitary condition and a receptacle for <br /> disposing of the cups will be nearby. <br /> Portable toilets will be available for site personnel centrally located to the <br /> task being performed. Additionally,hand washing facilities will also be <br /> provided and will be stocked with hand soap and paper towels. Pre- <br /> moistened hand wipes will also be kept in the H&S cabinet in the field <br /> office trailer. <br /> Potable and nonpotable water containers and portable toilets (if used) will <br /> comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.141 requirements. <br /> 9.1.3 Temporary Facilities <br /> Trailers and other temporary structures used as field offices or for storage <br /> will be anchored with rods and cables or by steel straps to ground <br /> anchors. The anchor system will be designed to withstand winds and <br /> must meet applicable state or local regulations for the anchoring of mobile <br /> trailer homes. <br /> All temporary facilities will be maintained in a clean and sanitary <br /> condition to discourage the entrance of rodents or vermin. If rodents or <br /> vermin become an issue, the FSO will be responsible for implementing an <br /> extermination program per site-specific or client-specific guidelines. <br /> ERM 9-1 DEERE/129740-9/29/2011 <br />
