• UST Removal and Sampling Three single-walled fiberglass tanks were removed on November 7, 1995 Two USTs were 10,000 gallon capacity, and one was 6,000 gallon capacity All USTs previously contained unleaded gasoline Soil samples T-1 through T-8 were collected from the sidewalls of the tank excavation at approximately 9 5 feet bgs Two soil samples, TB-1 and TB-2, were collected at the excavation bottom in saturated soils at approximately 12 5 feet bgs Analytical results of soil samples are presented in Table A and soil sample locations are shown on Figure 2 One grab water sample, TH2O, was collected at approximately 10 feet bgs (Figure 2) Analytical results of this water sample are summarized in Table C As an interim remedial measure, 1,500 gallons of groundwater and floating product was pumped from the former UST excavation This was transported as hazardous waste under manifest by Erickson Incorporated to Romic Chemical in Palo Alto, California Product Line Removal and Sampling Product piping was removed on November 7, 1995 Soil samples P-1 through P-9 were collected from beneath the product lines at approximate depths ranging • from 3 5 to 5 feet bgs Sample locations are illustrated on Figure 2 and analytical results are presented in Table A Used Oil UST, Sump, and Hoist Removal„and Sampling A 1,000 gallon capacity single-walled fiberglass used-oil tank was removed on November 7, 1995 No holes or cracks were observed in the used-oil tank Soil sample UO was collected from the bottom of the excavation at approximately 9 feet bgs Sample locations are shown on Figure 2 and analytical results are presented in Table A A sump and hoist were uncovered and removed from inside the station building on November 13, 1995 One soil sample (Sump, HT respectively) was collected from the base of each excavation at approximately 8 feet bgs Analytical results are presented in Table A and the sample locations are shown on Figure 2 • 9-8264tp%m page 2
