According to the can Joaquin. Count; Environmental
Health Division (County) , the property had been purchased in 1988
by your company for the purpose of residential development. The
County had overseen the removal of a diesel fuel bunker from the
property; however, progress on the investigation seems to have
stopped. Our inspection revealed that soils possibly
contaminated with diesel fuel remain piled and uncovered on the
site.
Because of current conditions, your property has been
included in the CALSITES database, maintained by the Department,
as a site requiring further action. Upon satisfactory completion
of the investigation and any necessary cleanup as required by the
County, the action status will be changed accordingly. Failure
to cooperate with the County in this activity could result in
referral to the California Environmental Protection Agency for
enforcement action.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please
contact me at (916) 855-7865.
Sincerely,
Claudia Johansen
Associate Hazardous Materials
Specialist
Site Mitigation Branch
Region 1
cc: Ms. Diane Hinson
Environmental Health Division
San Joaquin Public Health Services
P.O.
