08 August 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Protect No 99-0657 <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br /> • Fuel oxygenated compounds including MTBE, TBA, TAME, DIPE, ETBE, 1,2-DCA and <br /> EDB by EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analysis,testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control(QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> with findmgs and recommendations <br /> 3 5 MONITORING WELL PILOT BORING DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING <br /> AGE proposes to install five additional ground water monitoring wells at the site as part of additional <br /> site assessment activities The proposed well locations are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> Based on ground water contamination encountered at the site, AGE proposes ground water <br /> monitoring well installations to assess the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground <br /> water in the following locations <br /> . • Between 35 and 45 feet southwest of ground water monitoring well MW4 to assess the <br /> lateral extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact downgradient of the former UST <br /> area, <br /> • Between 40 and 50 feet west of ground water monitoring well MW2 to assess the lateral <br /> extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact cross-gradient of the formei UST died, <br /> • Between 50 and 60 feet southeast of groundwater monitoring well MW3 to assess the lateral <br /> extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-irnpact downgradient of the former UST area, <br /> • Between 50 and 60 feet northeast of ground water monitoring well MW3 to assess the lateral <br /> extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact cross-gradient of the former UST area, <br /> and <br /> • Between 70 and 80 feet north of ground water monitoring well MW2 to assess the lateral <br /> extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact upgradient of the former UST area <br /> The proposed ground water monitoring well borings will be advanced to approximately 50 feet bsg <br /> utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow stem drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers <br /> Total depths ofborings may vary according to hydrogeologic/geologic conditions encountered during <br /> drilling or based on hydrologic unit definition interpreted from the CPT data <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironment4 Inc <br />
