Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 c'� F6W r <br /> (209) 468-3420 <br /> GREG GAUT <br /> COMFORT AIR <br /> 1607 1607 TURNPIKE <br /> STOCKTON CA 95201 <br /> RE: Comfort Air SITE CODE: 1266 <br /> 1607 Turnpike <br /> Stockton, CA 5201 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the report submitted by Geological Audit Services, Inc. <br /> entitled "QuarterlyReport", dated January 1994, and has the following comments: <br /> -With referencB to the letter submitted to Greg Gaut from PHS/EHD, dated <br /> December 17, 1 93, a workplan for "Interim" clean-up shall be submitted to <br /> PHS/EHD. The ecommendation that approximately 100 gallons of water be <br /> removed from MW-2 to determine the effect of limited groundwater <br /> extraction on the contaminant plume satisfies the requirement. <br /> -Quarterly monitoring reporting shall continue which should include data <br /> generated from the "Interim" clean-up. <br /> -As noted in the above mentioned letter to Greg Gaut from PHS/EHDr a <br /> Problem Assessment Report (PAR) shall be submitted to PHS/EHD which <br /> delineates th full extent of contamination prior to full-scale site <br /> remediation. <br /> -Please submit a workplan for the installation of additional monitoring <br /> wells in order to define the vertical and horizontal extent of / <br /> contamination by May 1, 1994. After the full extent of contamination has <br /> been defined, PAR shall be submitted to this office, which shall include <br /> an evaluation of remediation alternatives. <br /> If there are any questions or if we can provide assistance, please contact <br /> Michael Collins, REHS, at (209) 468-0338. <br /> nest M.
