14900 West Highway 12 <br />Lodi, CA 95242 <br />(209) 369-1041 <br />• This would include any spill event where the facility personnel cannot perform clean up activities <br />because it is impractical. <br />• Ensure that no ignition sources are present or allowed into the spill site. <br />• If safe to do so, initiate oil containment action and control of the spill with the required manpower, <br />equipment, and materials available on site. <br />• Place absorbent material/berms to prevent spill from moving offsite. <br />• Alert neighbors if personal danger is possible if spill is not being totally contained on Tower Park <br />Marina property. <br />• Arrange with spill clean up contractor for proper disposal of recovered product and obtain permits, <br />as required. <br />• Notify additional appropriate regulatory agencies. <br />• Prepare required documents for submittal to the regulatory agency. <br />The Primary Emergency Coordinator (or designated Alternate) will: <br />• Conduct a site hazard assessment including: <br />o What spilled; <br />o Quantity of the spill; <br />o Hazards of the material; <br />o The location of injured or contaminated persons; <br />o Need to shut down mechanical and electrical systems; and <br />o Potential for environmental contamination. <br />• Determine if fire department or clean up contractor response will be needed; and <br />• Relay hazard assessment information to dispatch for use by responding fire units. <br />6.4 Waste Disposal <br />Wastes resulting from a minor discharge response will be containerized in impervious drums, bags, or <br />buckets. The Primary Emergency Contact will characterize the waste for proper disposal and ensure that <br />it is removed from the facility by a licensed waste hauler. <br />Wastes resulting from a major discharge response will be removed and disposed of by a properly trained <br />and certified clean up contractor. <br />7.0 Reporting Procedures <br />The best rule is - IF IN DOUBT, REPORT IT! <br />7.1 Notification Procedures <br />In the event of an oil spill at the fability, the on-site personnel will notify the Primary Emergency <br />Coordinator. The Primary Emergency Coordinator will be notified of all oil spills regardless of their size. <br />According to the Office of Emergency Services, all significant spills, releases, or threatened releases of <br />hazardous materials must be immediately reported. Therefore, in the event of a spill, the Primary <br />Emergency Coordinator will also notify tower Park Marina management. Thereafter, the Primary <br />Emergency Coordinator will notify the appropriate regulatory agencies including the following: <br />• Fire/Police Department 911 <br />• National Response Center (800) 424-8802 <br />59 <br />
