NQe
Work Plan For Monitoring Well(MW-8)Installation
2130 West Washington Street Facility
Stockton,California
Sierra-Pacific Project No.95-119.02
3.6 Elevation Survey
The new well will be surveyed by a professional licensed surveyor to determine its geographic
location and elevation above mean sea level. Sierra-Pacific will review the surveyor's field notes
for consistency.
3.7 Report Writing and Correspondence
A brief report of results will be prepared after the well has been successfully installed and
developed. New ground-water level data and analytical results will be presented.
. 4.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAM
A health and safety plan to support the field work was developed as a stand-alone document
for Sierra-Pacific's soil sampling and well installation programs at the Washington Street site
(Appendix A). The plan will be used for safety training and as a field reference document for
project operations. A site safety officer will be selected before initiating field work. Principal
risks associated with the well installation relate to intercepting a buried gas lines, water lines,
and optic fiber cables known to be present at, or near, the subject site. Overhead electrical
wires must be avoided. All personnel will be required to participate in site safety meetings,
discussions of work safety, and the establishment of sound emergency procedures. Hard hats,
~ eye protection, steel-toed work boots, and protective gloves will be worn at the facility.
5.0 PROTECT SCHEDULE
The well installation described in this proposal can be initiated within 10 working days following
authorization to proceed, contingent upon weather, drilling contractors, and materials
availability. The well installation should require one day to complete. Laboratory test results
should be available within 10 to 15 working days of sample submittal. Sierra-Pacific's report
of results will be completed within 15 working days after laboratory results become available.
Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants 5
